Amsterdam has its new place for swing, hot jazz, New Orleans jazz, pre-war jazz, Manouche jazz, Dixieland with a new concept jam session every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month.

20.30h Bar open for drinks
21h band plays
22h open jamsession
Cost: EUR 10 (in cash) if you don’t jam, FREE entrance if you play or sing in the jam session!

“The Jazz Lobby” is the entrance/foyer of the monumental/art deco Kompaszaal, that used to be the waiting hall of the Dutch Kings Steam Shipping Company, in the eastern side of Amsterdam.
